For the Attention of International Organizations
regarding the Moria Camp of Refugees
To: Your Excellency Mr. Antonio Guterres,
Secretary-General of the United Nations
To: Office of the high commissioner of human rights
To: Office of the High Commissioner of Refugees
To: President of the European Union
To: President of International Health Organization
Iran National Front, the oldest Iranian political party established in 1949, based on the principles of democracy and the International Declaration of Human Rights, hereby request urgent attention to the demise of the refugees in Moria camp on Lesbos Island of Greece:
The population of about 13,000 refugees in the Moria camp who all have fled intolerable conditions of living in fear of joblessness, government oppression, brutality, insecurity imprisonment and even execution in their own countries are only looking and hoping for a safe place to live, work, study or raise their children. There are many senior citizens, women and children among them; and unfortunately there are thousands of Iranians fleeing a brutal regime as well.
These hopeless people who have been kept under inhuman condition in crowded quarters with minimum facilities, after the devastating fire of last week have lost not only a place to live, but their bare minimum belongings as well. Under substandard living conditions we fear for their health and lives. With the cold weather and winter arriving and Coronavirus striking harder, these hopeless homeless people are struggling to stay alive.
We, the 6th Council of the INF party of Iran, as a political and human rights organization independent of the Islamic Republic in Iran, and ourselves under the oppression and existential threats of IRI, expect urgent attention from the International organizations named above and also the independent charitable NGOs, to the demise of the refugees of Moria, especially our fellow Iranians feeing Islamic Republic’s cruelty.
Respectfully,
Iran National Front, 6th Council
Tehran, 10th September, 2020
